Hi all,

I'm stopping overnight in MK and wondering if there's any secure bike parking.

I can see on the web that there's plenty of free parking but it's outside.

My best idea so far is the free MC bay right outside the Police station.

Does anyone know if the free bays have something to wrap a lock around?

Or some indoor, secure, parking anywhere?

There is a sheltered overnight car park at The Hub in Milton Keynes, its used by Travelodge in that part of MK.

Its not”secure” as such as im sure you could wheel a bike past the barrier or even lift it over it if they wished.

Your welcome to stick it in my garage (im in Northampton) for as long as you need, 10 min train journey into MK.

In the past, I've looked on Google street view for parking places with road furniture to chain it to.

Don't know about MK but bikes may be able to park free in non-bike bays, which increases the options for street parking with road furniture for chains.

Wow, that's a very kind offer, thank you.

I'll let you know how I get on with parking research.

It's always good to meet other forum members in person.

Your welcome, I may even be able to drop you off into MK depending on when...

There are rails outside the cop shpop to chain the bike to if you wish. I'm in Cranfield so here's another offer of park and ride if you're concerned, depending on when it is.
