I don't mind bring restricted in the bike that you can go for really but what are the main pluses and minuses?

Also there only seems to be a few to chose from in Manchester.

RJH who I took my cbt with, I'm not 100% convinced. Maybe it's that particular site?

There is no difference in the tests, other than the bike you use, and that could even be the same bike with or without A2 power restriction (my instructor uses a Yamaha MT-07 for both classes). I think the only reason to take an A2 test is not being eligible for DA due to age.

There really is no point getting an A2 licence unless you have to. Nothing stopping you get an A2 bike afterwards if you want to work your way up.

Yup agreed, unless you are under 24 years age and can’t legally do you full DA, there is no reason not too. The bike is the same bar for about a 100cc’s and the test is identical.

The wife did hers last year and due to her size she was struggling with the CB600 they used. When she asked about just doing her A2 she would have done everything the same bar for using one of their 500’s which was not much smaller or lighter.

I used Force Rider Training in Bolton so not far really. Andy & Martin, top blokes. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
