Having watched reviews on project farm and other youtube channels it seems that XCP Professional - Rust Blocker Clear Coat performs much better than the fabled acf50.

Was cold today so put the XCP aerosol can in some hot water for 10 mins. The spray was a great mist unlike acf50 where you need a compressor ideally to get mist action.

Having used both acf50 and now the XCP it was much easier to apply the XCP. Wiping off any excess was the same as ACF50. Going on the experiments on youtube it is also a better anti corrosion coating.

if you want to (which many do at this time of year) to apply a corrosion inhibitor then the XCP is a better proposition to the popular acf50 on both application and results fronts.

Does it leave any visible signs once it’s been applied? It’s good to know it’s easy to apply thumbup

Exactly my experience having been an acf fan. The acf aerosol really is a disgrace.

My only criticism of the Xcp is that it seems to stay tacky for quite a long time.

You can’t see it unless you put it on too thick.

A report on the different experiences in applying XCP compared to ACF50! I'm not quite sure why you struggled to understand that but hey ho!

I've been using ACF-50 for a while (also bought a big bottle which I can't seem to ever finish), just using the little spray bottle it comes in. If it's properly warmed up I've found it mists up quite well, I usually leave the bottle on the radiator while I'm washing the bike. Looking forward to trying other options though!

I’ve used both the Xcp aerosol and non aerosol bottles. There may be less product in the aerosol (I don’t actually know) but it is still way more efficient than the spray. Unless you have a compressor go aerosol without doubt.

I switched to XCP a couple of years ago although I was never really a huge fan of ACF as it was too easy to make a big gloopy mess of it! XCP out of can is far easier to spray a fine mist.

I can't find the thread but a Flairosol Spray Bottle was recommended for ACF - I've just had mine delivered and I'm shocked at how well it mists £7ish well spent IMO
