Was wondering if any of you guys had any recommendations on stag do ideas. A friend of mine, is getting married in June 2022. We were thinking of booking a road trip, not on bikes as many of the group do not ride themselves, to the Le Mans 24hr bike race over Easter.
With France having restrictions, and Covid uncertainty, i am trying to think of other bike related trips or ideas.

Can anyone help with ideas, i'm not the best man or usher or anything, the group is just struggling a bit to come up with anything and i would like it to be a good trip for my mate.

The main idea is a road trip, but where too, for a group of upto 12 people.
Needs to be between March and June too, as that’s when the wedding is.

Any help would be brilliant.

If many aren't bikers I would just stick to the usual:

Go karts (off road are good)
Segways
Shooting
Strip club etc

Groupon can be good not just for discounts but ideas - I've done climbing, segways, off road karting, quad bikes and hovercraft with them

Don't know if any of the Ulster road races are underway in time for you, but for an evening out after, I hear Belfast is a bit of a party town these days...?

Logistics would be fly & hire cars or drive according to your location. Also, the Ulster stuff is quieter than the TT (now too much bucket list) and a bit more low-key / grassroots.

Go and spend a day doing this

www.inchperfecttrials.co.uk

Then have a night in a nice country house somewhere nearby followed by a trip around all the good roads in North Yorkshire and Cumbria the day after.

Go sailing!

Base yourself in Portsmouth or Southampton (plenty of scope there to get in bother), get a rib-ride over to the Isle of Wight, organise a corporate type day on the water in sailing boats, eat/drink/be merry etc at the yacht club that organised it then a rib run back to Pompey in time for the aforementioned strippers smile

I like boats and bikes, getting too old for exotic dancers!

As an ex biker..

Segways - boring
Bsb or similar - super boring.

Strippers - ok but expensive
Comedy club. - brilliant.
Nice dinner and pub.

Not everything has to be about the bikes. Our biker group get together once or twice a year and have a good night out.

Paintballing and a Saturday piss-up in a city which is at least 50 miles from where most of the attendees live. You can't go far wrong. Oh, and strippers.

Fuerteventura, generally always sunny, nice restaurants and bars, hire some electric mountain bikes and have a ride round.

They have those buggies and weird trikes for hire too.

Some good ideas above - only input I'd have is that I'm not convinced by a road-trip stag do really, too much scope for stuff to go a bit wrong, and people (who won't all know each other, presumably) will have very different attitudes to speed/risk. Fine on a cart track/rage buggy/in a ropey club, not fine on a long cross-country/continental jaunt when a lot of time is likely to be spent hungover. Also people won't get to know each other as well (which I think is kind of the point of a stag do) as they will be in their own cars.

Travelling via train/plane is the way forward on stag dos I reckon.

ETA - inch perfect trials looks quality and caters for never ridden a bike before beginners. That'd get my vote if convenient, and presumably there's plenty of fun to be had in Blackburn if required biggrin

Thank you all for the ideas.

The trials day idea is a good one, Preston is not miles away and is actually a decent night out.

Ulster bike races is not a bad shout either is in May so would work.

The road trip was originally planned in a mates motorsport bus but its out of action, that would of carried and accomodated all 12 lads. So a train or plane to keep the group together is preffered.

Will let you know what we decide to do, there might be some good tales to share.

I’ve come across a few stag do groups out on caving trips before, if you’re happy to get a bit muddy everyone will enjoy that. If up north you have the Dales or Peak District available. Ingleton is about an hour from Preston, and there are plenty of groups that operate commercial trips up there, so you’ve got no reason not to run with this excellent idea.
