Same money and engine, which would you buy?

I'd take the duke because I'm not a fan of the the husqvarna styling

But they are cheaply made and quite slow

Other way around for me but for the same reason.

I’ve ridden a 390 (ex had one) and agree with the second sentence as well.

I went for the 401 then a 701.

410/390 I think it really is down to which looks you prefer

Decided on the Svartpilen 401 :-)

Would have liked a 701 but getting on for nearly double the price, 401 will do for my needs :-)

Thanks all

Congratulations. I'd be interested to know how the ownership experience goes.

These two are what I have been looking at for when I try pass my DAS in April.

I do like the look of the Svart and the later models have the adjustable WP suspension. I spoke to a Husky dealer and while they are assembled in India, they are QC’d and run on a dyno in Sweden.

Saying that I have a Honda CB125R built in Thailand and the quality is excellent.

Pics please!

I’ve only ever seen an early husky as there were only a few imported here. Build quality was notably better than the ktm. Isn’t that the whole point of the brand anyway?

I honestly thought I’d buy a 401 when I was learning 2 years ago. Only then I rode the 390 and decided not. Ended with with a monster, but totally different riding environment here I guess. Still, the 701/690 are a major step up whilst not being very mich heavier.
