Spotted this lovely machine, but my google skills are failing to identify it. Given the single sided swingarm, I was guessing a Honda VFR, but I can't seem to match it to a model year! Please put me out of my misery, what is it?

That's a Ducati 1299 Panigale (rather than an 1199, I think)

If it wasn't just a promo exercise the traffic officers of the Police Service of Northern Ireland must be queuing up to take 'the' bike out.

Ah ha! So like the Carabinieri's having a Lambo, this is most likely a PR stunt than a real daily use police bike. Many thanks.

They actually do use Lambo's

They are used for highway patrols https://www.hagerty.com/media/news/italian-police-...
