Anyone else excited to see what the new BSAs are going to be?
From the spy shots they look like a twin but with a B31/Goldstar timing cover style, which is a bit odd but I'll keep an open mind!
I suspect they're going to do pretty well if they pitch them somewhere between the Enfield twin and the Bonneville, and well under the Nortons. I reckon starting at about £6.5k and up to about 9 for a top of the range one.
All guess work but looks like there's a bit of a gap in the retro market around there!
It would be nice if they did something really different to Enfield, Norton and Triumph like a v-twin, but the fashion for retros seems pretty much stuck replicating sixties twins, so I'd be surprised if they venture away from that style to begin with, anyway.

A good looking 500+cc thumper would be nice and in a selection of different styles.
Unfortunately they cant use the Rocket 3 name as that has been stuck on a Twiumph monstrosity.
Yeah we were talking about potential names. I don't think they'll go straight in with a Goldstar, I'm guessing Road Rocket for the first ones. Unfortunately they cant use the Rocket 3 name as that has been stuck on a Twiumph monstrosity.

I'm really excited to see what they do. Interesting that they'd go straight in with the retro twin. Triumph went a decade with no Bonneville. I'd like to see them do some A2 compliant bikes.
Yeah I'm pretty sure there'll be an A2 bike in there too. Wonder about the name for that? Doubt they'll use Bantam, so maybe a Starfire or B31 or something?Enfield's just launched a new 350 Meteor, so something in a similar style?

The show starts on the 4th December.......Rushjob said:
Not according to Visordown, it says that it's a worldwide release at the show on 4th December.....
In my experience the press will see it before so they're ready to publish as the public gets to see it. The embargo will prevent them showing or mentioning details until that date though Yep, from what I've seen on the BSA groups on Facebook it's a 650 single which is pretty cool!
Not seen anything on pricing yet and I've read it's being built in the Midlands, which surprised me too as the parent group assemble bikes for other European firms in India I believe.
I wish them well, looks a really good bike. I think the launch has been a bit odd as I haven't seen anything official but they seem to have let loads of people take photos on their phones and post them online, but I guess they're the experts!
