Bike Hire for Scotland trip

Hi all, hope your all well.
I’m hoping to do a holiday riding round scotland next year and fancy flying up to Edinburgh and picking up a bike, gear and a tent. Has anyone got any recommendations for a bike hire firm that they have used and are happy with. Also any firms to steer clear of.

I know BMW (Motorrad Dalkeith) hire bikes purely because I’ve seen them sitting there as a customer of the dealer.

I’ve no idea of prices/availability but being BMW I would assume they aren’t cheap. However what better bike for touring than a GS?

I can’t help with any recommendations, but before covid got in the way I was planning a trip in 2020 and had found a few in the Inverness area, I spoke to highland motorcycle hire a few times and they seemed very helpful and had a nice range of bikes for hire.

Not used them for bike hire, but purchased a few bikes off them and they’re ok.

Saltire were very friendly when I tried to rent a bike from them - they wouldn't actually rent to me as it was January but would use again. I think Alan Duffus in Kirkcaldy also rent and will pick you up from Edinburgh Airport.

Cupar Motorcyles (Suzuki dealer) and their sister dealership Kirkcaldy Kawasaki both rent bikes. Might be worth giving them a call. I purchased a new SV650 from Cupar years ago and found them great to deal with.
