A video for the Cromwell 1200 appeared on my YouTube sidebar yesterday.

The colour works for me it's like that Land Rover Defender heritage colour.

My research lastnight revealed another Brixton Motorcycles model called the Crossfire that looks like the Husqvarna Vitpilen to me:

Does anyone know anything about Brixton Motorcycles? Where do they source their engines? I don't recognise the 1200 parallel twin as an old Japanese design the Chinese could build.

Auto Translate subtitles on YouTube is mistaking 'maximum speed' for 'speed limiter'?

The Vitpilen lookalike Crossfire 500cc parallel twin has a stated top speed of 160kmh so as fast a Duke 390. New European bikes have a speed limiter from 2021?

The 500 looks very similar to the 500cc Honda engine so most likely a Chinese copy of that. Not sure about the 1200.

The marketing is interesting… Apparently you ‘don’t ride it, you unleash it’. All 80bhp of it.

The 500 engine looks like a Chinese copy of the Honda 500, and they can't spell 'brakes'. The naming is desperate, but my helmet shape suggests I'm not the target market for a Cromwell anyway.

Indian website says the 1200 is limited to 198 KPH and weighs 235kg:

I am not sure having the cats in the header pipes close to the engine does much for the looks even if the cats get hot quicker. It took me a while to notice them on the Benelli 752S too.

I think starting a brand from zero may be quite hard work and expensive.
