Has Anyone Dealt with Superbike Factory?
Discussion
Two mates have bought from them,
1st mate bought a 2013 Fireblade he traded in a 2009 fireblade had no issues at all. They delivered the new bike and took the old one away and honoured the value from the walkaround he filmed on his old bike.
2nd mate bought a 2015 Ducati scrambler no issues at all.

I bought my R6 from them a few years ago. Looking back it wasn't my brightest move. The bike was overpriced (expected when buying from a dealer I suppose). I picked it up with 12psi in both tyres, the chain looked like it hadn't seen lube in years and the brake pads were around 80% worn.
Other than that, they were decent enough to deal with and I'd probably buy from them again but with the wisdom to check a few things over when collecting a bike.

Last year's thread https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
They sell st loads of bikes and generally don't do anything to them so the quality is variable
Their terms expressly break your consumer rights which isn't a great start and they charge £99 admin fee which is a way of keeping some cash if you change your mind
However they keep growing so "stack them high and sell them cheap" clearly works

I bought my MT09 off them recently. It's in amazing nick (new chain and tyres), was well priced and they showed the only damage to the front mudgaurd well pre purchase. Was a very painless experience.
They had it advertised in London near me even though that location is closed - and the bike was really at their main site in cheshire. Initially tried to charge delivery but agreed to comp it due to the advertised location and the fact I would have collected it.
My old bike I part exed, now advertised on there, however was a bit of a state and doesnt look to have had any work done on it at all.

It's pot luck. I had to return a Daytona I got from them that was delivered with a dead (not flat) battery, had a massive oil leak and needed a new clutch. As above, I doubt they do anything to the vast majority of their stock, so it entirely depends on what state they were in when px'd. They did however take the bike back for a refund without quibbling, which is more than can be said for one of its major competitors.
I put a refundable deposit down on a GSXR1000 K6 despite them not actually being able to get it running for me. Maybe foolish but they're a big dealer, and the bike was mint mint with very low miles at very average price. I felt pretty certain it would be something trivial.
3 weeks later after multiple calls from them to keep me updated, they reckoned the timing had jumped and done some damage internally. Refund given to me probably 3-4days later.
Can't knock their customer service, and the bikes I saw in there on that particular day were mostly pretty good.
I have heard they are linked with webuyanybike so potentially could end up with some lemons in their showrooms.

Bought a Ducati Hypermotard from them a couple of years ago. One-way train ticket up to Macclesfield and happily rode it back home to Essex. It developed an electronic starting fault for which it needed a new ECU and cluster after 3 months of buying it.
After a few emails back and forth and fearing I'd be stuck with this bike, they thankfully collected the bike and refunded me what I paid for the bike. It's a 'pile em high, sell em cheap' kind of place with rows of bikes as far as the eye can see, and I think I must have just got a dodgy one that time.
I'd consider buying from them again as their stock is plentiful.

I had a similar experience. Paid the deposit over the phone (unseen, but refundable) and then after a few weeks waiting on a part during their PDI process they called to tell me there was a bottom-end rumble which suggested an engine rebuild would be needed so they refunded me. Checked the bike registration online and it had indeed been removed from existence. They could have tried fobbing the bike off onto me but didn't, so I'd be happy to deal with them again - but as others have said, with my eyes open and checking the things you'd normally check on a used bike.3 weeks later after multiple calls from them to keep me updated, they reckoned the timing had jumped and done some damage internally. You are thinking of RiteBike, which is one of its major competitors.
No, webuyanybike (motorbike equivalent of webuyanycar) is owned by superbike factory. therefore when you sell to webuyanybike it ends up in the superbike factory showroom. I know this as the guy from webuyanybike told me when he collected my bike and sure enough a few weeks later it was for sale on superbike factory.I bought my Hypermotard 939sp from them unseen in December. It was well priced and was delivered absolutely as described.
Unfortunately the clutch was slipping under load at high revs in the higher gears. Customer services were excellent to deal with. The bike was collected within days and the clutch was replaced with no quibbles before being delivered back to me.
I would absolutely use them again.

Quite surprised by some of the replies saying they’ve bought bikes with problems, sold a bike to them a few months back and the collector was all over it, pulling plastic trim off to check behind and all sorts, I dare say more in depth than an MOT, torch in all the nooks and crannies, he even had his multi-meter out to check the voltage of the battery when the bike was running. If I turned up to their showroom and did this to one of their bikes i can’t imagine they’d be too happy about it?! With the potential of damaging things.

To be fair to them, the clutch on mine was only slipping at wide open throttle, without them test riding it in the same manner they would be totally unaware. Edited by DuncsGTi on Thursday 21st October 22:26
