Hello to everybody. I hope to be polite as this is my first post in this forum.
Writing here was suggested to me by a British friend with whom I talked about the topic recently, he told me that this place is the only one with a possibile solution to my problem. I hope it will be!

I am Italian and live in Italy, and I have a Leonart Spyder 350, the same bike is sold in the UK as "AJS EOS 350".

Now, the engine had a major problem last month, after vibrating vigorously in third gear it started to make metal noises and in just less than 5 miles the gearshift had blocked in second. The oil seemed fine at a first glance, but I opened the side covers and there is metal filings all around.
I think it is not a sage move to repair it as having access to repair parts is not easy, there are no distributors in Italy for spare parts as the company went bankrupt. Searching online is also difficult as the parts come from China and there is confusion in part codes, photos are low quality and not detailed.
I searched for a complete engine but without results.
The idea is now to sell the bike dismantled for spare parts.

Any better idea?

Thank you

Ricky

I was just looking there as well https://www.ajs-shop.co.uk/acatalog/Engine-2-23.ht...

They do say that they are building up their engine stock so may be able to help.

Saw the name AJS a few days ago - Chinese made?

Love the AJS Mat, to catch the traditional oil leaks?

Thank you for the replies.
Yes, I know their shop as I bought a couple of things from them in the past.
I doubt they will sell a complete engine and, if they do, the price added to import costs will be close to the bike’s value.
I think I will open the engine in the next days and see if a repair has sense.

Yes, the bike is Chinese and made by Lifeng Motors. The overall quality is not bad, the chromed parts are very well made and solid. Electrical connections and wiring are questionable.

Thanks for interest in my topic.
