Seat Gel Insert

Over the winter i planned a diy install of a gel insert into my seat. Looking around, prices vary from GBP10 to $150 or more. Are they all the same or will paying extra lead to additional comfort!? Can’t see anyway to differentiate the various products. Or any recommendations? Thanks.

They aren't all the same - I removed the gel part from my KTM ergo seat as it was so hard, I replaced it with foam and it was much better

If you look at the guys who re trim seats websites, they usually show various examples

LOL - don’t want harder! Good idea about reaching out to seat trimmers. Maybe they can recommend or sell something suitable. Thanks.

A couple of people said the same thing about gel inserts that put me off trying one. That left in the sun they heat up and then give you a hot bum when you carry on riding. Obviously a problem in a Spanish type summer climate and not this time of year in the UK. It might be bullst though? I went for an expensive foam that did the trick.
