Hi, I’m wondering if anyone can help me with what this plug is called? It is connected to the bottom of the DIN power output socket of my F800gs.

I want to find a cable that goes from this fitting to usb. I can find loads of options for replacement DIN to USB, but I specifically want a cable with a USB (A) on the end so I can just leave it under the plastic out of the weather.

It’s to plug my wireless charger in, the DIN will no longer work but that doesn’t bother me.

Thanks in advance and sorry for my long winded but vague description.

Looks like a tyco or similar manufacturers plug - read the codes off the side and put them in Google; likely you'll find it and maybe its counter-part.

TKR-Connector is a good source of specifics; you may need an account or trade address to register though.

Plugs/connectors are not cheap - would it be easier/cheaper to buy a sealed connector kit and swap it??

Eta: I had a Google myself and found this:

To me that looks like a TE MCON 1.2 connector. You'd need to double check the drawings for the correct keyway as I can't really see it end on in your photo.

You would need to find the correct mating male connector depending on the configuration.

When you do you can buy them from RS as an example

If you have a somewhat relevant business TE do a fantastic samples service too

You'll need a full kit of:

Housing
2 Terminals
2 Wire Seals

Let me know if you get stuck!

Thanks guys, I ended up just buying this anyway :-). Was worth the money and plug and play. It’s slightly chunky, is my only complaint and why I was looking for a sleeker alternative before I bought that.

Appreciate the help.
