Almost regretting booking a trip!

Andalusia in a couple of weeks.

Bike drop off this weekend. Can we even get fuel to drop the fkers off??

Then need to tie them down in that stillage thing. But still awaiting various tie down bits and bobs. Will be using string and cable ties at this rate. But they’re consumables so not allowed.

And will my tyre warmers arrive in time????

Carnet form - supposed to be dead accurate with the weight of items, but what about the sodding bike?? It’s slightly non-standard, but I’ll be buggered if I’m going to pick the thing up and stand on my bathroom scales. & what about liquids? Fuel used? Hardly going to be able to brim it at the moment, but would definitely be bringing back a full tank, even at rip off circuit prices, so that’ll screw up any weight comparison.

And if we’re being anal about weight, what about pad and tyre wear?? Bit daft to say the least.

Got some spare tyres to bring, but now I’m considering getting some more pads too. & what about tools & spares generally? Current thinking is to bring the basics and if I can’t borrow/beg/steal anything else I need then shall just get pissed & count red flags for a few days.

Insurance is another one. I hate buying it at the best of times, yet I’ve just voluntary put myself in a position where I need to buy a st-ton more. fking mug.

Hire cars are always something I avoid, but not looking like I have any other option.

Serious case of buyers remorse going on! Grrrr!

FE 15-17th? I'm on the same one. Carnet was a ball ache, I listed and weighed all the main stuff and have just listed tool box with assorted hand tools.

Was still bleeding my brakes at 8pm tonight so I'm also Mr last minute.

Yep.

I don’t even have my bike at the mo! Picking it up tomorrow…hopefully.

How many of you going? Two of us and probably flying from Luton if you want to share the hire car pain? Travelling back on the 17th though as my buddy has to work next day.

Once the Carnet grief is sorted will be looking at flights. Will PM you if they are lining up with yours.

What have you done for the insurance?

I went to Jerez a couple of weeks ago with NL.
I appreciate they're not FE, but we didn't have to be too accurate with the weights of stuff, and I guessed at all of it.
We used Assureton Sport for the insurance, as I read someone's account of having to make a claim on a injury with them, and they'd had a good experience.
Conversely, I mate crashed at Aragon last week and is having a nightmare with RBG insurance, and they're messing him about a lot

The Covid test stuff was a p*sstake, as despite getting it all done properly, and filling in all the locator forms etc, I wasn't once asked for them in Spain on arrival, or on return to Gatwick

For strapping your bike down on the stillage, just head to Halfords and get some ratchet straps

Surely your blue passport after Brexit means you don't need to worry about all this Johnny-Foreigner claptrap?

Wasn't that what England voted for...?

My mate is having to put in a full day tomorrow, so we’ll not be arriving until the early hours of Friday now. He’s doing the driving though so I can at least have a nap.

What was it like for a smaller powered bike? I’m out there early next year for the first time on my zx6, from what I’ve seen it looks like a bit of a power circuit, but I’m aware YouTube videos can be very deceptive.

Bit stuffed for transport, so there’s a chance I might try and find you at breakfast to scrounge a lift to the track, quite happy to sort you out with some petrol money/coffee/cake in return! Hope that’s not
too much bother….

If not I’m the slow middle aged bloke on an old black
ZX10R.
