I think Baron von Grumble has already traded in his Aprilia RSV Mille Limited Edition for it.

I used a wink emoticon. I was joshing, pulling your leg.

I think him and Fagan discussed that those S1000 HP4s are all very well but quite expensive. I've liked the RSV since they were released so liked the video saying you can enjoy these 90s/noughties bikes at more useable road speeds.

The advert for a used one at around £65K mentions finance. There's no mention of finance for the £200K plus Honda.

To be honest for nearly £220k I’d expect more than one spark plug. And as for one brake pad eek

Tight fisted buggers.

How much were they new?

£130k ish. They only had 160bhp and I think the optional kit to get to 215 may have been extra.

I think you had to buy the exhaust and ECU kit at something silly like £30k to get it up to the higher power.

Assume that's to "de-legalise" it; make it noisy and take off any emission things that strangle it!

Didn't Yamaha do similar with the original R7?

My noughties bike is not a very quick one, but seriously, it just makes a mockery of speed limits if you so much as slightly use the performance.
I had to be careful on my old 400cc sports bike.

It was an observation that one advert mentioned finance and the other didn't.

Having £60K or £220K to spend on a motorcycle and people taking out finance to possess such things is far beyond my world and experience of getting a bank loan for a used car I could buy outright but wouldn't have had the funds to run for a year.

I suppose financing such expensive motorcycles is no different from the people on Airplane Repo on Quest? on Freeview who have their helicopters and executive jets repossessed as they've not kept up the repayments.

Thats fair comment and makes sense, these things are now becoming assets rather than vehicles and the speculators are getting in, I'm sure that if someone wanted finance on the Honda there would be a finance house out here for it, plenty of 200k plus cars on finance.
