So it looks like everythings bubbling up for another decent weekends racing.

Sykes is still pissed about Redding taking his seat and Davies put in some decent times on Friday.

Friday started off damp which rea made the most of but come the afternoon it dried up and he couldn't match toprak's times.

1- toprak
2- rea
3- redding
4- davies
5- haslam

Toprak pulling a stoppie over the finish line in the 1st race must have stung a little bit.

It looked harsh from the replay I saw where his tyre still appeared to be touching the white line, but I'm sure the stewards can see better than me and got it right.

I'm not a long term watcher of motorbike racing so bear with me, but why would the decision take so long? Didn't that race decide the grid for the next one so shouldn't they ensure any decisions are made before they line up?

Because they didn't spot it , the kawaski team did and put in a appeal .

Yes I got that it was a Kawasaki appeal, but I think it was Jamie Whitham said they only have 30 mins from race ending to put the appeal in. Whilst I realise there are other races going on so the stewards aren't sat twiddling their thumbs, I just presumed that anything potentially affecting the grid slots would get dealt with before the next race.

Anyway, thoroughly enjoyed the weekend's viewing of this and BSB. I've tended to be an occasional viewer of bike racing but this year I've got right into it. Excellent bike racing made up for a bloody boring F1 race which enabled me to have a nap.

Lots of people complaining on social media about the appeal from Kawasaki, saying Rea is “crying about being beat and spitting his dummy” yet Rea hasn’t won the last few races and hasn’t made any noise about it, just because he was eagle eyed enough to spot toprak running off the track he’s being digged out for it. rules are rules, replace the green area with grass and toprak would of been spat into orbit in that situation, just like tarran mckenzie at cadwell a couple of weeks back.

I'm really enjoying WSB at the moment, its certainly more entertaining now that there is a battle at the front.

I think the off track issue is fair, its not unreasonable for Kawasaki to appeal, and I'm sure its a black and white assessment with better data / views than we had. I would say some of the riding between them has been rather borderline, maybe now that appealing has started we'll start seeing a lot more complaint about some of the very hard passes they are putting on each other. Its a fine line and isn't as black and white as the track limits, but it may spice up this battle at the front even more but I hope it doesn't impact the very hard racing we've been enjoying.

I don't think toprak's going to change how he rides , he's got rea rattled and he's going to carry on tightening the screws.

Lucky for rea that Redding isn't consistent enough to bump him down to 3rd more often.

Tripe. He'd have chucked a bit of dust up. Tarran Mckenzie a few weeks back has no traction control as he is in BSB. Toprak and co have st loads of it, as they are World Superbikes.

Rossi and Fabio would have had an extra place if they have mentioned leucona going off at 2nd last corner on slicks, should have had a 3s pen like Binder got. But sometimes, you gotta just take your result and hats off to the lad that beat you.

KRT pointed out that Ana Carrasco got punted on to green a couple of rounds ago and got penalised, so they are probably making a point to Dorna lodging the protest. The organisers have made a mess of this one as soon as they started penalising last lap trips onto the green this way. it’s everyone or no one whether an advantage is gained or not. It’s not good for the sport.

All that's going to happen now is toprak is going to pull more aggressive moves on rea and any slight infringement of the rules by rea and Yamaha will be straight to the organisers.

Should be a good end of the season.

Not really, rules are rules, yamaha would have done the same.

I guess the difference is usually rea easily wins the title, this year he's got a fight on his hands so every point counts.

Rea is getting a proper backlash on "soashal meja" apparently.
What is the betting, as soon as poss, he will get tthough last corner in the lead with the Yam in 2nd and sit up and wave Toprak through ....

What I don’t get is why the penalty applied.

Yes he went over the green, but to be penalised he needed to be over the green and gain an advantage.

As he was overtaken at the next corner I’m struggling to see what advantage he gained?
