I'm looking for a tail pack that I can use as my gym bag. Want something that quick releases to either the pillion seat or rear rack - and that I can also use as my regular gym bag when I take the car.

I see various Oxford/Give products - wondered if anyone has one that they've used for similar.

My bike is a 2005 VFR800.

Honestly, just any duffle bag/roll bag and a bungee cord or 2 (perhaps consider a waterproof bag if there's any chance you could ride in the rain). There's really no need for anything fancy if you're happy enough with just a bag on the pillion seat. I've always preferenced this over wearing a rucksack. Seems pointless having the weight on your back when you can stick it on the seat behind you and not even notice it's there smile

I recently grabbed a massive 70L Oxford Aqua bag which is great, though I highlly doubt you'll need anything that size - they do sell smaller ones. Or the Oxford Heritage bags if you want something a bit smarter looking - 30L/40L capacities should be plenty - check out SportsBikeShop/Ebay

Kreiga stuff clips to fixing points that you leave on the bike. Fairly easy to use as a gym bag.

+1 for Kriega stuff, which I have used as a gym bag. It's also 100% waterproof and has a shoulder strap to let you use it as a regular gym bag.

I'd imagine the kreiga 10l bag would be big enough for a gym back. Maybe the 20 if you don't want to squish your trainers too much.

I've got one of these. Great bit of kit for the price. I use it for commuting everyday in all weathers.

Another vote for Kreiga. I use mine my 20l to commute - fits my normal laptop bag inside along with trainers, and with the shoulder strap it just turns into a normal bag

Yep this. I forgot it comes with a strap too.

I have several tail packs including Kriega and use "ball bungees", normally used for tarps, gazebos etc to attach/detach quickly

Got any pics of that setup? I use Kriega packs with the included straps but intrigued about the ball bungees.

Just grabbed a quick pic, I've used the rack here but it works just as well on the grab rail, seat strap, frame, rear pillion brackets etc

My vote is for the Kreiga 20 L. It has a carry strap that you can use over the shoulder cross style but critically it also a smaller strap that goes round the waist to stop it sliding off to one side. So no need to attach to bike at all. I use this on my 848 as it has no where to attach the pack on the nominal pillion. Also wearing it on the shoulder the small top waterproof zip compartment is face up and easy to get your phone, pass etc. out easily. If your bike does have under pillion loops the only watch out is on my MT07 they are the same material / colour as the loops on the pack - I have often attached 3 hooks to the bike and one bag hook to the bag loop.
