New (2nd hand) Bike Day :)

Had this little beauty delivered yesterday from Bolton Motorcycles ...
2016 Hyperstrada 939
Story behind this, had the Hyperstrada 821, was great, got seduced by new bike'itis and swopped it for the Multistrada 950, now there was nothing wrong with the Multi but it was just a tad bigger, more cumbersome and less fun than the Hyper, my Reading to Central London commute was less grin inducing and it was no more or less comfy for my wife (6ft with no shoes on) !!
So when I outed the Multi pre-covid I decided when the time was right I'd get another Hyperstrada but they don't make new ones so this is one of the last I believe, only showing 3500 odd miles, am yet to ride it but will do soon ....

Cheers gents ...
And Rushjob, indeed, thats what he Multi struggled with, no hooligan element to it, and these are docile or devilish depending on the mood ....
Timmy, they are exactly that, but crossed over when the 950 Multi arrived so they got dropped, they have slightly more relaxed geometry, the screen at the front and other bits and bobs that help them crossover a bit to a more touring bike, it will never be a Multi but thats ideal, add the panniers (which I will never use) and its great, I will be popping a top box on and putting the hugger back and thats it sorted for a life of abuse !!! my last one did 18000 miles in 3 years going in and out of London mainly ...

A big enough difference, the fly screen you get for the 'motard is crap really and I do 25 odd miles on the M4, the 'strada has 90% of the protection the Multi had, important mid Nov in the pee'ing rain lol, also the stepped seat is far better for a pillion, the luggage is an easy fit for a 'strada but but a ballache on a 'motard as they don't have the passenger handles at the back, add to that power outlets etc so its a no brainer if you need the ability of a multi with the size and flickability of the 'motard.I'm a huge 'motard fan but its just too much of a ballache to effectively just turn it into a 'strada ...
That’s lovely. I was torn between one and a multistrada. It was the pillion accommodation that pushed me to the multi. I think with the multistrada, they say the 950 does everything the bigger bikes do, which I believe is true except for the hooligan factor which the 1200 has lots more off. I’m sure the hyperstrada has more again though, fabulous bike, enjoy.
Been seriously considering one of these myself! My missus comes out on the back of my street triple rs and it’s a compromised ride for the two of us. I don’t want to lose the fun factor, nor do I want something with 160+hp or an adventure bike just yet! These rarely come up, but I’m keeping my eye out for one!
