New to me Scrambler. Do not see many of these about and I have totally fallen for it. Making a thread to help me track progress and a record of my progress with it. Few pictures below. Anyone any experience with them?

I've had an Icon for the last five years. I love it and despite several attempts I just can't bring myself to change it for something else.

Objectively it probably isn't that great. Not terribly powerful, harsh suspension, dubious finishing. But it has heaps of character and is brilliant fun to ride.

Mine is due some expensive repairs soon though, which will be a real test of my commitment :/

I had a Full Throttle back in 2017 bit sold it after a year and 7000 miles due to it feeling a little bit small under my 6'-2" frame.

Really fun bike to ride with just about enough power to keep it entertaining, poor suspension though and definitely an area worth spending some money on.

Those MT60 tyres despite looking less road biased, actually gave loads of grip and feel, iirc they are supposedly made of the same compound as Supercorsa's? Or what was the tyre below the Supercorsa at that time???

Ground clearance was an issue with mine, I wore a hole in the header pipes in the bend just infront of the oil sightglass as well as grinding the hell out the standard Termi shotgun pipes, I threw a SC Project exhaust on which got rid of that problem and it sounded lovely too.

The throttle on the early bikes was a bit snatchy but I believe they improved this with a new throttle tube or something on later models? I learned to ride around the snatchyness and indo believe that it's improved my overall throttle control to this day.

The brake fluid reservoir weeped on mine and marked the paint on the tank, it may have been an isolated incident but it's worth checking the cap on yours.

Other than that it was a belter of a bike and I will own another one some day and use it as a bit of a mess around bike.

I have a 2015 Classic, lots of fun, though nearly all my riding now is in town. The standard bars were awful - Renthal road medium are way better and were a cinch to fit. Next to go is the seat - a popular gripe. I do like the quilted brown though. Any recommendations?

What's the tail tidy on yours?
