I like it, its getting hammered on Ducati forums for not being quite special enough for 18k, I agree they could have done a little more but still like it.

So three grand for the upgraded bits. Forks, rear damper, steering damper, exhaust system and a graphics change so people know you've spent the money. It doesn't seem the worst value in the world if you can tell the difference in riding it. I guess the people whining about the price would like to see a clear clutch cover and rim tape too.

I can understand why they did Corsa specials when he was still racing (or only recently retired) but seems a bit odd to do one 20 years later. Don’t Ducati have some recent successes they can celebrate?

One of the best things about the standard V2 is that it is good value, compared to the top Superbikes (even though it has the engine capacity and performance of the top bikes from not that far in the past). This seems to eat into that advantage for most likely some gains that very few people would be able to feel on the road.

I was interested in the V2 but couldn’t get a test ride Iast year and not sure worthwhile swapping from my Tuono.

Yeah, that's the problem. Next year will be the fiftieth anniversary of Paul Smart winning the Imola 200 on the Ducati 750. If you know anyone who lives near Borgo Panigale, have them keep a look out for a large delivery of silver paint to the Ducati factory!

Norton have quite a lot of NOS silver paint going cheap.

Snazzy Ohlins and steering damper, updated exhaust, Lith-Ion battery too, seems like decent value to me really.

I wonder if they're readying a V2-S for next year with the Ohlins etc.

I'd have thought Bayliss deserved a blinged up V4 to be named after him, so what if he raced a twin.153 bhp for £18k isn't going to excite anyone.

At the other end of the scale and something that is special is this ex-Troy Bayliss 2003 MotoGP bike, if as it states it's the early season bike then it's the podium bike from the Spanish GP at Jerez - https://www.dkeng.co.uk/ferrari-sales/1324/blue_ch...
