This is great news, can't wait to see what they come up with. Something that rivals KTM and the Japanese four would be amazing. And having Carmichael onboard can only be a good thing!

Does Triumph have any history of two strokes? I can't seeing them in MX without one.

Aren’t the top bikes all four stroke?

Not been two strokes for yonks, all 4 bangers.

Can still buy 2 strokes, but world champs and major championships are dominated by 4 strokes machines.

Never mind a 2 stroke. They don't have any suitable 4 strokes so potentially a lot of investment in development is going to be required. Just seems like an odd move.

Given the way they've worked since the 90's I'd guess they have spotted an opportunity and are prepared to make the investment required to make it work. I'm curious.

I wouldn't put it past them! They had plenty of success with the 675r when they decided they wanted to do that, I suspect if they put that mindset into motorcross they will be successful.

Really?? You should go and tell Graham Jarvis et al that fact, I'm sure they'd be chuffed to know where they've been going wrong rofl

Top class MX has been artificially driven towards 4T's but hard enduro is still a 2T world.... Horses for courses..

Enduro boys and trials, plenty of 2 stroke.

Be interesting to see what triumph do here.

Mx 4 strokes, artificial or not, can't think of anyone competing at the highest level on a 2 stroke

Enduro ..... wasn't the question . But yes still used and doing well.
