Contemplating getting a new bike later in the year lads, but local stock may be lacking.

Which dealers would you recommend who have a good amount of stock, if you were to consider buying remotely?

I know Optimum in York, and Cubo Moto have a good reputation, any others?

I can recommend Crescent Honda in Bursledon, Southampton. Although I do have some bias - I have been using them for over thirty years, since they were originally Rob Willsher's.

They're still a good bunch of people there though, and I would have no qualms whatsoever at buying either new or used from them without viewing.

Castle Honda in Castleford. Avoid Hunts Honda and Colwyn Bay Honda like the plague.

Dobles of Coulsdon. Tend not to be the cheapest but been straight when I've dealt with them.

Tony, Steve & Mike at On Yer Bike (Ducati Aylesbury)

I’ve been a customer since 2011. Wouldn’t spend money elsewhere.

John in clothing is a great guy too.

Have you used them much? I have had two bikes from Castleford as I live near. They seem quite good at finding lightly used stock. I am noob though so have yet to have a service there.

Shorrocks in Preston were great to deal with when I bought mine, not masses of stock but something for everyone if you're not after something specific

Main dealers selling new bikes should be ok, even if you are buying a used bike.

I've bought a demo bike unseen off https://www.johnbanks.co.uk/honda-bikes/ No problems.

Another one is Vines BMW of Guildford. I did actually buy a bike unseen from them and it was as described. A BMW F650GS, previous owner, the offroad school...

Appleyard Motorcycles is worht a look, used these for both my previous bikes and the service has been excellent both times for both the sales process and after sales care.

Used stock is always high quality and a tend to stock anything from curiser to Adventure and all in between.

Italia Moto in Lincoln were superb. Bought my speed triple from them last year before lockdown hit. Never had such a nice warm experience from buying any vehicle!

Funnily enough, I've had really bad experiences with Appleyard on the repairs side. An invitation to the county court never fails to focus the minds of these people.
