This is going to ps off a lot of early adopters that paid twenty grand for an HD Livewire.

Now that HD has dropped its name (good call) and Livewire is its own brand, the new projected price is coming in at £14500. Don't forget that Livewire/HD is making a profit on these still at this price and it shows all the EV industries are trying to take our pants down on the swap over.

At £15k this is a bold and welcomed move for bikes.. now they just need to build one that works on a Tesla/Instavolt 250KW Superchargers, and can fast charge in 20 minutes like the cars. Marketed right in the middle of Zero/Energica etc. I personally think this is one of the best well made bikes at this point but as EV bikes in general.. "we're not there yet".

I reckon it'll still be around 20k after grant... and the grant might not be around much longer.

Never as simple as a straight currency conversion.

The original US MSRP was $29,799, UK price ended up at £28,995.

I'd be surprised if it was sub-£20k in the UK with the changes.

Interesting.. let's see where it goes. Either way £10k as a discount is notable at 30%.

Rule of thumb has always been $x in the US = £x in the UK.

US prices are generally quoted without any form of sales taxes included. UK prices include 20% VAT.

Take the VAT out the UK price, and £28995 becomes £24162.
£24162 (at today's exchange rate) is $29142 - so not the rip off it first appears, at least not on Harley's side.
