It's official Vinales - out!
Discussion
Mav needs the support of someone who can help him dial his head in.
Mav's speed & talent is without question for me, but when it gets tight and bumpy he seems to be more than willing to back out of it. Shame, but it creates a great opportunity for someone else and further add's to the potential of Fab's championship campaign.
Not sure why Aprilia should gamble on Mav. I'm keener to see what Dovi can do on it, as I've heard a few promising noises and think he deserves more time in the spotlight.

If I was Aprilia I'd pick Dovi over Vinales, sure he's probably only got a season or two left in him, but he's the only guy who has even worried Marquez the last couple of years, plus I would imagine he's a good development rider and Italian which has to help.Mav's speed & talent is without question for me, but when it gets tight and bumpy he seems to be more than willing to back out of it. I looked last night at Vinales's race results since joining MotoGP 7 years ago, 9 race wins, about the same 2nd/3rd places.... all factory rides, I think he's done extremely well to remain in a factory team for so long when you look at the stats.
Musical chairs time! This link thinks Vinales to VR46 Ducati, Morbidelli to Yamaha, Bezzechi to Petronas. https://www.motorcyclesports.net/motogp/maverick-v.... The sticking point would be Morbidelli being currently contracted to the Petronas team, not to Yamaha.
The Italian press are bigging up the idea of Vinales to VR46 but Ducati would have to really want Vinales to make it happen. Right now the red team have three riders at the sharp end taking points off each other, next year it'll be four, do they really want it to be five?
Given the choice I believe a motivated Dovi is a better bet for Aprilia, I suspect Vinales is going to find issues similar to those he's currently suffering amplified at Aprilia.
