Which rental bike?

Good evening,

I’m planning on doing a long weekend with my chum next weekend. Will need to rent a bike but not sure what from the list below.

Plan to leave the London area and go up anti-clockwise through around to North Wales and back over towards London over 3 days or so.

He has just bought a 2020 BMW 1250 RT.

Looking for something with hard luggage, comfort and good enough weather protection.

Bikes available are Ducati 1260S, Triumph 1200 XRT and, the wild card, Harley Davidson Ultra Limited.

The Harley intrigues me for stereo, sat nav and comfy looking perch. The other 2 seem quite similar to each other but are they comfortable and offer protection?

My previous bikes include Fireblade, Blackbird, Varadero and K1300GT to give you a flavour of what I am used to.

What would you recommended?

Triumph for what you want i'd say.

Either the Triumph or Ducati would be great for that trip.
HD might mean you having to work quite hard to not slow your mate down.

Which firm are you using? I've been happy with RoadTrip and West Sussex Motorcycle Hire.

He is undoubtedly the better rider but I’m sure he will wait for me whilst I potter along!

West Sussex I have used before (K1600 GTL) but they are not renting this year.

Duke and Trumpet from RoadTrip and Harley from Lind HD in Guildford.

Just had a look at the Triumph comes with an electric screen so may be a good option.
