Just Bought My First Bike!
Discussion
Hi everyone,
After passing my test in December I've finally bought a bike!
2006 Honda CBF600 with 13k miles, Delcelvic (sp?) end can and minty fresh all round. Just had a service with new chain and sprocket too.
I pick it up on Monday and I'm absolutely buzzing. The thing sounds insane and I cannot wait to get out riding it.
What do you think?!

If someone could correct that last pic for me that would be fab!

great looking bike and congrats on passing!
what sort of riding are you going to be doing most? Commuting? Sunny days out? Touring? - I'm assuming pretty much riding whenever you have an excuse
Yup, I'm working nights next week so I will ride it whenever it's sunny! I also get bored on the weekends so I will ride it then. Probably won't do tours for a while and won't commute unless it's hot and work is close.what sort of riding are you going to be doing most? Commuting? Sunny days out? It's all very well and good and all that, until you find out that going to Europe is really easy and that most people over there will pull over to let you pass and it is not far to the Med and then all of a sudden travelling by bike is the best way to travel and you need to learn about 15 languages!
Don't say I didn't warn you!

I'll set up autotrader notifications for a k1600 then! Don't say I didn't warn you!
The bike is home!
Went for a lovely ride home via Paignton seafront, past Brixham harbour and home.
Engine is peachy, sounds great and is fast despite me riding like you grandmother. That's how I intend to stay for a while.
However, Jesus Christ I was hot. My riding gear is got the winter as I bought it for learning in December. Sports bike shop here I come!

Congratulations on the pass and the purchase. The key to staying cool is to keep moving. Airflow at speed will cool you down, if you are sitting stationary in traffic on a warm day then you will be hot almost irrespective of what you are wearing!
