Buying dilemma - S1000rr gen 3 or 4
Discussion
Hi all,
I've finally decide to get back on a bike after a break of 18 months. I think I've settled on a S1000rr (loved my 2014 one), but am split between a gen 3 and gen 4.
Either way I'm buying used, low miles, not new. The gen4 seems a huge change, being an all new design and engine, but will cost around £4-5k more.
Anyone got one? Good/bad feedback? Experiences or thoughts on late gen3 v gen4?
I'd been considering a 1299 Panigale, but my head keeps telling me that i'd soon regret it as the bmw is easier to live with on long (300mile) days out.

I had a gen 2 S1000RR, just put a deposit on a 1299S. The BMW is very probably a faster, cheaper to run bike. But I've got a Ducati itch to scratch, time will tell if Ducati are all they're cracked up to be...I'd been considering a 1299 Panigale, but my head keeps telling me that i'd soon regret it as the bmw is easier to live with on long (300mile) days out.
