Evening all,
I ran in to a spot of bother at cadwell a few weeks back in my rush to change to a set of wet tyres.

I managed to turn my rear brake disc in to a calliper wrecking machine by not noticing that one of the spacers had dropped out.

Bike is an l1 GSXR600 that is track only.

I picked up a replacement off ebay, but when it arrived the mounting bracket is different. The old one has a recess where a slider slides through to sit in the alignment plate on the other side, and the hole is 5mm wider than the replacement.
I checked a few other listings and to be fair it looks like the one I was sent is an L1 mounting

Does anyone know what the current setup on the bike is? I checked to see if it matches a 1000 setup, or an earlier 600 but cant find anything that matches.

Thanks for the help

Around 2 sessions!

Noticed when I was changing back to dry tyres / wheels around 45 minutes later.

I hate changing wheels between sessions, I was rushing to get changed to wets before the first session but had to unload, pass noise testing, get my wristband etc and didnt notice that I was missing a spacer.

I wont be making that mistake again!

Just to close this out with an update, I showed the old and new brackets to a mechanic who builds track bikes.

They are both the same bracket, but the old one has been customised to operate as a quick wheel change setup.
The bracket has been milled out to allow a captive system for the calliper to be used - basically holding it in place so that it doesnt fall out when trying to get the axel reinstalled.

I have reached out to an engineering company to try to replicate the old setup on the new mount.
