I need a new battery, and in my TDM it's mounted on it's side. The Manual lists it as a GT12B-4.
A search for the bike on Yuasa's site comes up with a YT12B-BS, which they say is "permanently sealed" and "Spill-proof design means virtually no possibility of leaks"
https://www.yuasa.co.uk/yt12b-bs.html
Does that mean it's fine to mount on its side or do I need to make sure I get a Gel one? I can only find the GT12B-4 code from brands I've never heard of, eg https://www.nr1motor.nl/gel-battery-yt12b-4-mg12b-...
As far as I can tell the GT/YT bit is just the manufacturer, the -BS means it's sealed, but I have no idea what the -4 means

Hmmm, that Yuasa site has a series of logos underneath saying it's an AGM, but also that it is for "moderate installation angle", which maybe suggests it's not suitable? Yet thier own site lists it for the bike. Confusing.

Have had several of these in my TDMs over the years Rizzo (one in my current TDM too), it's not an issue.
The Yuasa? I'm not sure what I've got in there at the moment, think I'll need to pull it out to find the brand/codeEdited by RizzoTheRat on Thursday 6th May 11:33
