New (to me) bike day. Pics to follow
Discussion
I've scratched that itch which manifested itself after a test ride a couple of years ago.
Sitting in the garage now is a 2018 Ducati Hypermotard 939 SP
Its too dark to get any decent pics but I'll add some tomorrow. I've not actually ridden it yet and have taken a bit of a punt by buying over the phone off the back of photos and videos but as you'd expect of a 2 1/2 year old Ducati with sub 3.5k miles and main dealer history it looks immaculate (except a tiny scuff on the left handguard which was detailed in the description and pics)
The one thing its missing is a decent exhaust but you cant have everything. I've found an Akra slip on on ebay for a decent price so might pick that up. If I do put a can on it will it need the fueling adjusted? There wont be any issues with warning lights etc as the sensors and exhaust valve are just before the can.
I just cant wait to actually ride it

Congrats, sounds like an awesome buy.I just cant wait to actually ride it

If the cat and O2 sensors are intact then it shouldn't need the fuelling adjusted, but it might be worth having on your tweak list to decat and have a little tickle to smooth out the throttle.

Nice. I’m looking at a 10 year return to biking on a new 950sp as well.
You’ll love it! I only rode the non-SP for 15 mins before ordering my SP.Giggling childish first impressions here (bear in mind I was running it in!) https://youtu.be/f5z4ZUUSvhw

Never ridden one myself but I’ve always liked the look of them and the idea of them.
Look forward to some pics and hearing about it.

The cat is in the end can so it'll be removed. The internet seems to be awash with people saying it'll be fine and equally people saying itll run so lean that it'll blow within 36 seconds. I've bought the Akra anyway so I'll probably need to at least have it checked. If the cat and O2 sensors are intact then it shouldn't need the fuelling adjusted, but it might be worth having on your tweak list to decat and have a little tickle to smooth out the throttle.

Great bikes, did you buy the one for sale on the ducatiforum.co.uk?
Miss mine, will probably get another in the spring
It came from Superbike Factory.Miss mine, will probably get another in the spring
I know the reviews are mixed from there but I went in with my eyes fully open. The bike was well priced and seems to be absolutely as described.

It was the 950 Non SP I test rode last year. Absolute laugh a minute.Giggling childish first impressions here (bear in mind I was running it in!) https://youtu.be/f5z4ZUUSvhw
When I was looking to buy, the budget I set would have put me on a normal 950 or a 939 SP. The ohlins/carbon/paint job sold the SP to me in the end.
The weather has let up a little today so I thought I'd have a quick blast. The roads are greasy as he'll so I've not been riding at any great pace.
It feels fantastic to ride, very agile and light. The height of the seat is taking a bit of getting used to but I'm sure I'll gel with it over time.
20 miles into the ride and it decided to have an Italian moment. The bloody clutch is slipping

It happened on a local dual carriageway, noticed it accelerating in 5th and 6th so I've just limped it home and called the dealer to get it sorted out
Italian bikes eh?

2.5 years old, sub 3.5k miles and the clutch is slipping? Sorry, but that wouldn't be filling me with confidence and I'd want to know why.
I agree its a concern. They seem to have a huge turnover of bikes so I can understand how one can go out of the door with issues though, it wouldn't have been apparent to them unless they opened it up on a test ride in 4/5/6th.
I did take the extended warranty though which is a bit of a comfort
