I wonder whether Honda will stick with Andy Irwin, his antics didn't do the PR team at Honda any favours for the 2nd season in succession.

I hardly keep up with WSBK these days, but saddened for Chas Davies at Ducati - I guess a lack of overall results was the main reason?

Not sure about WSB, (Dorna is it run them?), but Surely BSB has to be at risk if there is the potential for no or limited gate money next year?
Some great racing and i hope they can negotiate with Eurosport a decent deal etc, but no or limited fans at tracks will have a big impact on sponsorship as well as the viability of running the races, these tracks need upkeep etc.

Covid is bound to have some impact on spectator sport next year and potentially for several years. I can see it going pay per view at some point or fees going up for Eurosport etc.

Blimey, good call. Just announced! He is out! Have you got tonight’s lottery numbers by any chance?

Would think TV coverage would be of more importance to sponsors than a few bods lining the track.

BSB is “owned” by MSV who also own the majority of the circuits that they race at. Like most businesses they will be feeling the pinch, but if a bank calls in the loans then the bank suffers. Owe the bank a million and they own you, owe the bank 10million and you own the bank.

Eurosport is free to air on the basic satellite package and that’s one of their key criteria. They had a bit of a set to with Sky a few years back over it. They won’t charge for it and I think the contract elms were agreed last year for a good few years yet. I don’t there’s a break clause within it for either side.

Loss of income for BSB from track side spectators, concessions etc will be very tough for them, but no more than all other sports are suffering.

Pretty sure Taz has already signed on with McCams again
I've also heard both Davies and Rory Skinner linked with the PBM ride as Josh is off somewhere else, but who knows if Iddon will be back on their bike, but would assume so
And that Tag will be back in 2021 but not on Yamaha's
It's all good speculation though, but the team announcements will come thick and fast over the next few weeks. Normally, as soon as one team announces, the others all come flooding in

Would like to see Iddon given another shot with PBM, and with Chaz it would be a strong lineup. Chaz can show WSBK what they're missing.

Maybe Chaz to Honda to replace A Irwin, (already going)? Would give them a world class rider to develop the bike for BSB. I feel Honda are prepared to throw money at getting this bike to win! Unless they’ve already got someone else lined up...

From what I gather

Bridewell to stay with Oxford
Vickers staying at RAF
Mossy, Brad Ray and 1 other for FS3

There were a few other moves that i heard about last week as well but my memory sucks.

Looks like Davies is going to Goeleven to take Rinaldi’s place.

Didn’t think there was any chance of him coming back to BSB yet, given he did pretty well in wsbk again this year and he lives in Andorra.

Camier admittedly lives in Andorra but he might be more likely for a BSB ride due to how the last few seasons have gone. Maybe PBM or Honda?

Surprised if Brookes goes somewhere else, Wsbk never really worked out for him, can’t see where else in BSB he would go.

As good as BSB is and we are very lucky to have no doubt the best national championship right here in the UK, if it went pay per view it would get hardly any viewers I am afraid. It is, despite the above, just a national championship.
