Le Mans MotoGP & Camping
Discussion
Guys, Some advice for a Le Mans 1st timer please,
I have tickets for Le Mans MotoGP weekend for Rossi grandstand T12, Apparently gives us free access to Centre des Expo parking /campsite.
I'm travelling down from Calais in our Camper and can't get there until thurs evening at the earliest. Anybody used this campsite and know if i'm still likely to get a campervan pitch on thursday evening?

This isn't the LM24 car event where people start pitching up on Monday or Tuesday ,your event doesn't start till the next day.
You'll probably arrive with 95% of the camping still available.
Have fun....
I've been to a few MotoGPs but never camped at one so don't really know. I can fine plenty of reviews for Houx or Bleu sites (which basicly say its absolute carnage!) but none for the Expo site. You'll probably arrive with 95% of the camping still available.

Mrs Z is going to be mightly knarked if we end up sleeping in the car park with no facilities at all.
Not camped there but plenty of people turn up on Friday morning. Take earplugs, all the campsites are noisy, last year someone was revving the nuts off a bike everytime we went past there (we parked in Expo for 3 days). There seems to be a great atmosphere in the campsites.
Race day will be a lot busier than the other two days so get any merchandise you fancy purchased on the Friday and have a packed lunch on Sunday. Be prepared for big queues to get into the track on Sunday morning.

Expo is where we supposed to park/camp. Was there a camping section?Race day will be a lot busier than the other two days so get any merchandise you fancy purchased on the Friday and have a packed lunch on Sunday. Be prepared for big queues to get into the track on Sunday morning.
I'm expecting noise. We did Mugello a few years ago. Still remember the de-bladed chainsaws reving up all day long and I don't expect they will be any more restrained at Le Mans

Hope this helps, Expo is in top left corner:I'm expecting noise. We did Mugello a few years ago. Still remember the de-bladed chainsaws reving up all day long and I don't expect they will be any more restrained at Le Mans
That's from 2018, we were in T14 then, T11 this year, parked in Expo both times. It took about 1.5 hours to get in last year, this year we were a bit sharper and we made it inside (Entree Nord) in about 50 mins. I think the entrance to your camping will be just above where it says "Centre Expo".
If I remember rightly, (I've not been for ages) Expo is opposite the main entrance to the circuit, with a bar (very popular, decent toilets!) about 200 yards away. It's a big site and close to all the action. The museum by the entrance is worth a look if you get time. Unlike the 24hr car race, the Moto GP only uses the small infield circuit, so you wont have to walk miles.
The campsites can tend to be a bit lively, expect to see many pissed bikers attempting wheelies and burnouts. The French Red Cross tend to be busy.
Have a great time.
