As tempting as it may be to drive through a large group of people blocking the main routes across London does anyone have any good ideas ( or sites) about how to track which areas they are blocking at any given time.

I appreciate a lot of their focus will be around Westminster but when they start hitting the bridges as well as spots like kings cross it make it pretty hard to plan routes around them.

I don't think it will be difficult, there aren't that many of them. I drove through London last time without even realizing there was a protest.

Just avoid Westminster.

This is pretty good and tells you which road + reason for delays/closures.

You are lucky if you missed them last time as I was getting caught quite often, occasionally twice on the same trip. I come along past Tower Hill, Westminster then the a4 every morning so it’s hard to avoid them.

The try site looks good but it’s currently showing no delays because of them which makes me think it’s more for planned disruptions.

Just sold them an old Mercedes hearse so quite looking forward to the next protest making the news.

Wonder what they're going to do with it / what colour its going to be?

If you zoom in by Big Ben and click on the yellow circle with 2 red !! marks you will read below:

"Special and Planned Events | Demonstration

[B404] WESTMINSTER AREA (All Directions) (SE1), EXTINCTION REBELLION - A group is intending to protest continuously at eleven locations across Westminster from 06 October until 19 October 2019. Impacted locations are Trafalgar Square, Parliament Square, Whitehall, Westminster Bridge, Horse Guards Road, Horse Guards Avenue, The Mall, Millbank, Broad Sanctuary, Marsham Street/Horseferry Road, Dean Bradley Street and Lambeth Bridge (both roundabouts), Road users are advised to expect delays in the area. "

There is also a list of roads affected if you click on the drop down list.
Once they happen, and certain roads are blocked - they will be updated on the website.
It was last time that they had these demonstrations anyway!

Even last time Westminster wasn't that bad. They only blocked parliament square in the afternoon anyways forcing anything needing to go via Lambeth Bridge. Mustn't like an early commute...

Westminster Bridge is closed until 9th Nov so unless they block Lambeth Bridge you'll still be able to get into Westminster.

Yup. My part-ex from last week and sold on to our trader who then sold it onto some actor type luvvies.

Bit boring, just locked his neck to the car with a bicycle D-lock. I wanted them to do a full Mad Max type conversion.

Surely they'll just tow him onto the grass in the middle and let him marinade in his own fluids for a few days.

Heads up, the terrorist morons have said that they intend to try and block Park Lane / Marble Arch again, on the weekend of 10 Sep and the following week.

So if you commute that way you've got a couple of weeks to sort out your ice tyres, and polish up their spikes.
