Rather than loads popping up here and there. Or others missing out. Would it be an idea to post in here to get the ball rolling. Or to even fling a few days around. Then having a dedicated thread when booked.

Just an idea.

I'll start. Easter weekend. So the Sunday and Monday the 5th and 6th there is a double header at angelsey.

Camping is allowed. 220 quid for two days.

And a rock disco in the club house at night.

Yes, but I seen this more as a lounge idea for trackdays.

You fling out possible dates you are interested in, see if anyone else fancies it. Then once you have booked put it on the events thread or start a specific thread.

I hate this time of year when I see everyone doing a track day every week. I'll be able to get to more later in the year but for now I've got croft booked which is sold out.
Anglesey 19th June
Oulton 14th july
Valencia 5th october

I need to give cadwell another chance as I hated it the first time but I think it was more the fact I was in the wrong group and the pace was so slow it was painfull.

yes I'm itching to get out in track but am trying to be patient until after I've been to Haslam's in May. After that I'll try to get to both Cadwell and Donington a couple of times each before the end of the season.

I was undecided whether to book Cadwell or Mallory, I may book Cadwell now then.

I'll be in the L-plate group though

I’m thinking of two dates, back to back, these are:

Cadwell Sunday 15th and Monday 16th of march, £166 for two days (with NO limits discount), I’d be tenting or B&B-ing it

Or

Anglesey Easter weekend, Sunday 5th and Monday 6th £200 with discount.

I’d be camping at that one, seemingly it’s a bit of a bash, with the club house putting on a disco event and stuff at night.

Anyone interested?

Since I'm a southerner I will be doing Snetterton on Sat 6th June and I may also do Rockingham on Sat 26th April if the weather is decent.

I'm gonna book Anglesey in the next day or so, any other takers?

As I said its a double header and at the easter weekend.

If we have enough people sign up it might be worth renting a static caravan for the weekend.

I've had a look and these are going for £220 for a week.

With 5 or 6 bodies at the most its only going to cost £40 for 3 nights accommodation.

Is there anyone interested?

Renting a caravan with random men off the internet...what could go wrong.

I'm scared of the weather at Anglesey so I'll wait untill June/July and pray for no wind and sun

Good call MTB - keeps it all in the one place without bombarding those with no interest with our ramblings...or overwhelming the a Picture a Day thread with stuff only the individual plus a few who know them could possibly care about...

Here's a quick report on a Cartagena Euro trip I got back from yesterday, was on track Thurs,Fri,Sat,Sun, with NoLimits,
It was an amazing trip - weather , 20 -24 C. every day, cool breeze in afternoons, perfect light and hot track...decent hotel , stayed the extra night (5th night) to round it off properly. Went with two good mates, they rode in Fast( middle / red) Group and I rode in ACU/Fast ( purple) Group ( on Euros there is no Novice Group, it's a novice /Inters mix, never any real beginners on these, but nonetheless , some, to whom normal courtesy and space is expected and given....

Started out badly - got pissed Weds afternoon, having met up with a few good old faces, bed by nine, stinking dehydration by 6am, a gallon of water and back to bed for two hours- nice.
Up to track for 9am, briefing 9.30 and out on track 10am ( 10-6 pm everyday, 1 hour lunch closure- 7 x 20 min.sessions a day, 3 morning, 4 afternoon.
Day 1 for me was a pre-booked coaching session with Mike Dickinson (Getfaster.co .uk ).
He is good. No blowing wind up your jacksy ... He observes you riding and then assesses how best to help YOU improve, establishing and focusing on the individual's fundamental issues stopping them going any faster than they are....
Well, I took a bruising - he certainly lets you know what he thinks and tempers his direction with you based upon how quickly you understand and then employ the concepts. None of them are rocket science, so glaringly obvious once you know how it is happening every time I rode anyway..... Absolutely brilliant input, not for the thin-skinned though, if you are prepared to trust, listen, think and work at it, it may well help you - a lot .
Not sure I did it justice, overcooked the goose the day before, so bit knackered and not as match fit as I should have been - and then , first session after lunch, day 1, slashed three seconds off where I was day 4 last year same place....!!

To say I was amazed is an understatement, I felt I was riding poorly, and probably was, but managed to string the sections together enough in one set of laps to do 4 within 3/10ths of each other including this one.

Completely beaten up on morning of day 2, barely able to get down for any brekkie, so tired , previous hangover, more sun, tuition, concentration, excitement, adrenaline....fatigue.
Relaxed and just rode for fun , tried to chill, try less hard, smooth it out, hit the apexes, string some sessions together , it worked - got very regular at a second above new pb..... Carried on like this for whole of day.
Continued into day 3 , interesting with Jo Burns and sometimes Luis Salom and Jesko Raffin out there playing too ... along with some middle/ lower end Superstock boys and some very quick club racers ou there to see a line or two to try to follow...briefly....
Sat. night was Sat. night, gorgeous authentic steak house and local smooth and light Rioja to sample... got a bit late / early -as the town only really gets going late 11/12 onwards...missed first session day 4 , no sweat, thought sod it, move down to Red Group for last day and have a bit of laugh with the lads, take some video of them and just enjoy.... no pressure, from me nor anyone else, really enjoyed just trying slower smoother flowing progress , but still flicked lap timer on each session, with screen covered over ..... Well, got round to looking at some vid, pics and timer today ( at work ) and guess what - took another .6 out of best lap .....not a lot, but a bit nearer 4 secs from last year, just shows - when not thinking about it and over- trying( bit more clear track on last day too in afternoon as lots pack up lunchtime), this can happen.

Really brilliant trip, demanding nadgery circuit and great company - pretty damned good time was had - pick bikes up Fri. afternoon ..... leave them on and roll towards Cadwell for a laugh ....?? Hmmmmm.

A few pics by Alex James - nice kit he uses, makes lovely colours ! :
