My lad has seen a bike he fancies for sale with these guys. Before we drive all the way up I just wondered if anyone from Yorkshire has had any dealings with them?

Cheers

I know Eddie who manages it and he is a lovely lad, don't think you will encounter any problems with them to be honest.

I work just around the corner. I know lads that had dealings with them before they opened cubo moto. I think the guys used ti be a partners or part of viva moto in bradford.
They all had good things to say anyway.

Ive been into the 'showroom' and its a great looking place that always has lots of impressive bikes in. usually rumours spread fast if anyone has any bad experiences with garages around here unfortunately but like i say, ive never heard anything bad.

Very much appreciated guys, that's just what I was hoping for. Deposit down so looks like I'll be in Huddersfield next Saturday.

How did it go out of curiosity?

There are two bikes I'm potentially interested in but its a long way to go for a dud

If you want me to pop in and have a nosey at anything just let me know. Just give me a list of things you want me to check and Id happily check them out. Like I said I'm 5 minutes away so no issues.

Hi and welcome to the forum. The bike that we went to see was honest and pretty well as advertised so we bought it. No dramas and the it's still running well and I'd buy from them again.

What bike are you looking at?

Hi guys,

Thank you for the warm welcome smile

I would pop there myself if it wasn't a 300ish mile round trip. Travelling up from South Oxfordshire is a little far for a look ha.

Tim85, it is the White & Black ZX6R with 2000 miles on the clock. From the pictures on their website it looks fantastic for the price but I could be wrong. If you did have time to go take a look that would be a HUGE favour I'd owe you biggrin

Andy XRV, thank you for the vote of confidence =)

My dad also bought a bike from there and it's been good. He was very happy with them and the bike.

Bought a '64 plate Ducati from Cubo Moto in 2018 with 90 day warranty. During this time it developed two separate faults (transfer shaft bearings and engine coolant leak). I took it back to them, at their request, on the exact day and time they asked me to visit, to be told: 1. It was not the day/time they specified 2. The parts in question were 'lifetime' parts (whatever that means?) and should be covered by Ducati 3. The failures where the fault of Ducati manufacturing 4. The bike was initially discounted as I had elected for the bike to be inspected post-sale by Ducati 5. Had the bike been inspected by Cubo then they would have spotted the faults 6. The faults were caused by rider error.

I think that roundly covers just about all of the excuses any dealer could ever possibly dream up to wriggle out of what was, in the end, a quite moderate repair bill. And from what I can tell, a lot of their reviews and testimonials are self-generated, if you know what I mean.

They offered me a comically low PX on an R6.
Got another 1k trade in at Completely Motorbikes and did a deal with them.

Wouldn't mean I wouldn't buy a bike through them though.

Wow you must be a really angry man to be digging up an 8 year old thread about an issue you had 4 years ago...

I was considering a £15.5k GSX-R1000R they have. Perhaps a franchised Suzuki dealer would be more accountable, if things went wrong...

I’ve dealt with them when I sold them my bike, they came and collected it from 200 miles away, I know it’s not the same as buying a bike from them but they were 100%, from that experience I think I’d be happy to buy a bike from them and have it delivered.
