Hi. Has anyone used Fasttrack Motorcycles in Leicester as am thinking of having a bike delivered from them unseen (apart from web photos)? I know it's not ideal to do that but I've ridden similar bike and it looks mint. Cheers.
I couldnt and i wouldnt part with cash for any second hand bike I hadnt viewed...photos can hide many a lie, we had someone caught out on the forum a couple of months back IIRC.Its your money thou Bluey..
Pity i didn't see this earlier. I can go look at it on Saturday for you or might be able to get someone to check out out in the week. That did my last MOT and a few local friends use them for same but their bikes never look very well presented to me...does poor valeting equal poor mechanical prep? I don't know...
I bought a bike off them last July, bike was pretty well described but I'd agree valeting was not the best. Had a couple of minor problems which were fixed easily but they were very busy and silly little things kept getting missed.
They are really into second hand sports bikes and cheap chinese 125's. The mechanics vary between good and 'apprentice' so check any work they do. The boss is a nice guy but the whole place came over a bit disorganised as it seemed very dependent on him. They've been around for a few years now and have a pretty good reputation locally with people who are in the trade.
Personally I'd either want the bike inspected, or have the option to say no at delivery time, as your interpretation of VGC and theirs might differ.

I just bought a used W650 from them , sight unseen , after a few calls and pics I was happy to proceed .
Was going to have it delivered but in the end picked it up myself, and gave it a shakedown 150 mile ride home .
Discovered a weeping fork seal and decided to fix it myself as they had been kind enough to accept my lower offer and Mot it for me.
They taxed it for me upon arrival and were totally great to deal with.
On chatting to Bill ( owner ) it is a 3rd generation old school type business , no smoke and mirrors here , as I used to be in the trade many years ago I was impressed with there straight forward business model .
On phoning them today , to tell them how happy I was , and mentioning the fork seal , they offered to send me all the necessary parts to fix it .
All in all , I would heartily recommend them .

One thing I would say, re fst,m's .Have a real good look at the vehicle delivered . Bolt security ,tyre integrity , and if in doubt take time to communicate via emails so you have a paper trail in the event of things not being right when in your possesion. I would like to believe I had a good outcome eventually.
