Bought new bike!

Bought a new bike last night!!

I'll be heading overland to Australia from April next year and have spent the last few months trying out just about every option available. In the end it came down to a choice between the BMW 1150 and the KTM 950 Adventure. Whilst the BMW would certainly do the job and has done for many people; the KTM just seemed better built, had a better quality finish, was much much more fun and was cheaper!!!

So I have gone for the KTM. Dealer gave me a top deal so it is coming with:

- Engine crash bars
- Gel seat
- Tank bag
- Panier rack system and two 35 litre boxes each with a integrated 3 litre water tank
- 51 litre Givi top box
- Scottoiler with touring kit

Free service etc etc.

And it is in silver so it does not look quite so in your face!!!

Picj it up next week and will be using it everyday on all weather, I use the SV like this anyway so hopefully this will be a bit more comfortable in the weather we are getting now!

Nice one, I see that MCN are reporting good deals on KTM 950's this week as they haven't sold as well as they should have, even if it is a top bike......

Very tempted m'sel....

Which dealer did you use btw ? (and if can be rude, how much was the whole package)

Dealer was Premier Bikes in Didcot very friendly and seem genuine chaps. All in it is costing me about 5k plus my bike... As a comparison a 1150 adv was going to cost me 8k plus my bike...

I'm well chuffed!
