Looked forward to today for the best part of two weeks, as this morning I picked up my 98 Ninja from Lloyd Cooper.

Prior to securing this deal, I got an insurance quote from an insurance company who's name comsists of Ms Vorderman's first name and Beau Bridges brothers first name. C**** N***.

They quoted me 663 pounds fully comp. Got a reference number and the operaters name. Called again JUST before I went on holiday to Corfu for a week to confirm that I was picking the bike up on Tuesday (today), the day after I got back. Girl said 'thats fine, just ring us once you get the bike and we'll give you immediate cover'.

Went to pick up bike, paperwork, coffee 'n' chat with Simon (really decent bloke) and almost forgot about phoning insurance company to start ins cover.

I phone up only to find out that they have NO record of this quote and WILL NOT honor it. Oh and by the way, its now 1040 pounds for cover and NOT 663 pounds.

That was the fist of three S**t things that have happened to me today.

To say that I am angry with C**** N*** is a masterpiece of understatement on a grand scale. They ruined what was supposed to be an exciting day for me. I will not forget that.

Heads will roll. Make no mistake.

Rant over. Thanks for listening.

Hmm, I bought my bike from a bloke called Simon as well. At P&H in Crawley.

Anyway, C**** N*** gave me a quote that went into thousands at Alley Palley a few years back and so since then I've always been with Motorcycle Direct. I'm 27 and TPFT now costs me £160 on my '02 GSXR600.

I was dealing with Simon at P&H but since he's become the sales manager the other guys seem to do a better deal (maybe it's just good cop, bad cop)

Anyway, I got a good deal from "wicked quotes"

You know how they say your call may be recorded for training purposes - Can't you get them to listen in to either one of you calls to confirm your quote?

Try Norwich Union direct, I pay 225 fully comp for a 750 Triumph Trident sprint, but obviously this depends on your age and location......

Benny, tried them yesterday. Best quote so far.
Wicked quotes are dearest, go figure.

Anyone else know of any competitive ins companies?

Cheers
