Direct Access in the South East

Pretty much the same thing as the other thread but for the South East Area.
I have phoned one place which is just on the other side of the river(north) and they wanted £380 for 2 days training on the weekend plus the test on the 3rd day, they could fit me in on the 29th sep. Is this too expensive? I'm sure that there are cheaper places around in the SE.

Including bike hire I assume, doesn't seem too bad

Mrs Inc started with one a year or 2 ago, much cheaper but they were fg useless

yes this will include bike hire of a ER 500 for the 3 days, training and the test at 11am.
It seems quite steep to me...

I paid £300 for 3 days, with the test at 11:41 on the 3rd day, so its about the going rate mate. Its quality not price BTW - you need to find someone good.

BTW Test fees were not included with mine.

they are in Croydon their prices are showing £425 for 3 days. They were a bit rough round the edges (swearing smoking etc, incase you are easily offended), but can't fault the training.

As already said I wouldn't let price be the only criteria. If you phone dobles (big Honda dealership in croydon) they also has an affiliated rider training firm. When I did mine they were cheaper, but couldn't fit me in.

cheeze i didn't know it would be so expensive. am i allowed to say who i was thinking of going with? i have ridden there once and the guy was ok, but it was a hut on an industrial estate.

best way to tell is to go along and speak to them. Most will do a free assessment ride, after the ride they will tell you what course they thinkg you should go on (3,4 or 5 days) and commento n your riding.

The ones I listed hav a a policy that if you sign up for the course they recommend and you fail the test they will keep giving you free lesson until you pass( though you'll still have to pay bike hire and for the test itself). There's no reason why you should fail though :-)
