Just had my first experience of biking in France , (have taken the car countless times and always enjoyed it), and boy its got to be the most addictive thing I've done(honest ). Dover - Caen , overnight stop , Caen - Perros (north coast). Any downsides ? Well , wife and kids waiting at campsite but otherwise ok.
All I want to do now is jack in work , and head of with a credit card and a map.Is there a cure ?

Incedently , I think the reason they drive on the right is so motorcyclists can wave instead of having to nod.

I was so addicited I didn't go back. Riding in france is great because everybody has a scooter as a teenager and the car drivers give you lots of space. Italy is just bike mad and Germany has some mega roads, when they're not full of germans.

Does anybody know the 3 english bikers that dropped it on the ring on sunday afternoon. I heard one looked bad!

Just returned from a few days in Luxembourg/Germany/France. Brilliant trip despite the rain. Wonderful empty roads, considerate town planners with lots of bike parking, ace hotel with biker friendly patron etc. Can't wait to do it again.

Never been before. Hotel booked in Dinan. Plan to see Le Mont Saint Michel and to generally bum around and cover some leisurely miles around the coast. (Fat chance! Before long I'll be racing everywhere again!)

Sounds good.(Just suggestions) Head west following the coast , the pink granite coast near Perros is quite spectacular , or blap down to the south coast , Pont Aven , Concarneau ,Benodet , they're all among some of my favourite places.Let me (us) know how you get on.

Thanks for the suggestions. Concarneau was on my shortlist. I'm only there for a couple of days so I'll probably concentrate on the south coast.
