doing pembrey at the weekend, heard its an F1 test track, anyone been?
Went in May. For my first Track Day.
Great track, all sorts of bends, but very flat, not many features & fairly short. The turn onto the start finish straight is very fast. It seemed that the favourite 'off' was either not making the fast turn from the back straight onto the start finish straight, and the highside coming out of the hairpin at the bottom of the start finish straight.
Enjoy. I did. WHo you doing it with?

pembrey
Mate of mine is one of their instructors.
He's in their KRC endurance team - up at Snetterton this weekend.
I did a test day and 2 races there earlier this year.
The circuit's a little bumpy here and there but nothing too much to worry about. The surface is very grippy so if it rains you'll find there's more grip there than you realise, but stay off the concrete on the edge of the track coming out of turn 1. In the dry it's fine, but in the wet. Whoooaaa...highside.
The circuit has a nature of pulling you faster and faster into corners. I don't think I've ever been to a race track that does this so much. Try to learn it really well, before you go really quickly there.
Have fun.
