Riding through London yesterday (only about the third or fourth time) and some old GIT just walked out from between two Taxis right in front of me. Had to dump the bike!!!!! Bastard!!!!!

I wasn't speeding or filtering. I was in the middle of the lane and the light was green. The next thing I knew I was under a taxi.

I'm ok, But the bike has sustained the same damage that a famous bike shop did (don't want to get told off for nameing and shaming) after dropping my bike less than six months ago.

Next time I think I'll just hit the pedestrian.

Does anyone know if that is legal?

Ah the joys of pedestrians in town!

I ride in EVERY SUCKING DAY (100 mile round trip) and the amount of times I've almost twatted some pillock who jay-walks in between the traffic only to find you filtering down on them (always slow RIGHT down before zebra crossings and tube station exits!) defies logic.

The sad fact is that if you hit them, you'd probably do as much damage to yourself/bike anyway

Bummer, at least your okay though.

I've came very close a couple of times, I'm sure its just because the stock honda can is too quiet, especially when filtering at low revs.

Race cans are a safety feature.

You need 6th sense and 360° vision in town (tricky in a full face). My closest call waas going home in the dark and the rain, filtering through the snarled up traffic in Peckham when this black guy in a long black coat suddenly appeared right in front of me, I only saw his white teeth when he thought he was about to be knocked flying. Didn't do my nerves much good either.

Should of hit them unless it's a Kid or an oldie. That way you'll know who they are & might be able to make a claim against their house insurance (personal liability bit) - if they've got any, if not at least you get *some* retribution.
