Yippee - I passed!!!!
Discussion
Congrats on the pass! I looked at the Monster when I passed, loads of character, but servicing came in very steep compared to Jap' stuff. SV comes in two insurance groups cheaper than other bikes in its class, so well worth a look. Also makes a nice noise with appropriate bits and bobs
Still love my SV, cracking little machine.

Just bought an SV!!
Really nice bike, 2002 bike in bright yellow - same colour as my old Elise so that scores many points. Looks in fine nick, no marks anywhere at all, one previous owner, fully documented history and 9000 miles, nice racey can - I've got the original as well...
I pick it up on Wednesday evening so lets hope for no rain! If anyone is out between Newbury and Reading / Oxford way and see a yellow SV probably being ridden very gingerly then it is me!!!!!

Nice one! While I think of it, the one thing that really improved by confidence in the bike was changing the tyres. It came with Metzler Z4s on it, these were scary things to use in the wet. I currently use Bridgestone 020s, hardly the most racey tyre in existence, but a massive improvement over the Z4s. Just been through a rear in 8k miles, but then my riding is virtually all commuting. The front still has loads of tread on it.
Cheers,
Steve.
