Dark Visors ... by Royal Appointment
Discussion
Did anybody see Prince William in the paper at the weekend? He was riding his Daytona 600 with a police biker in tow.
His visor looked a bit on the dark side. I'm sure HRH couldn't be riding with an illegal visor.
I'm surprised the Royals let him ride a bike on the road. Surely too risky in terms of accidents and protection?

I couldn't give a monkeys about the Royals either - I just noticed the bike as I was flicking through the paper.
Good on him for doing it if he enjoys it - I'm just surprised the 'Firm' let him.
ISTR that young Harry showed a lot of potential at karting (1) but was banned from doing it for safety reasons.
(1) Assuming he really WAS talented and it wasn't just sycophancy on the part of his supervisors

He did have an R1 for a short while

btw. Will the same minder travel back up to St. Andrews with him, just wondering what happens if I blast past a yellow and silver R1100S, and a red daytona 600

As an aside, what hot water am I gonna get myself into by riding around wearing my blue iridium tinted visor? I plan to carry a clear visor if i anticipate being out after dark.
Not a lot if you don't ride like a hooligan.
I've been wearing dark visors for years, never ever been pulled for that, even after close inspection by the Bib...
If you give them an excuse to pull you mind, then they might mention it and give you a ticket, but as you've got a clear one with you, you'd probably be let go....
In other words, don't worry about it.
As another aside, I've just popped into Lilleys to oggle the Rocket 3 (test ride sat) and bought myself a Bering ventilated jacket, what a revelation, you actually get cooling whilst riding, marvellous

If only I'd had it last year when I was couriering round London in that heatwave.....:-/
