What can be done to smoothen the low down power on a Vtwin (748/sp1's etc..)?

On the Mille the best tweak must have been going from a 17 to 15 tooth front sprocket; the engine spins up more easily so the low speed stuff isn't as snatchy.

Edited to say a lot of twins are over geared (to help them pass the noise regs?) anyway from the factory.

I take it you're talking about snatchiness in low gears?

Heavier flywheel?

BTW a smaller front sprocket will have the effect of making the throttle even more sensitive. It will raise the revs at a given speed, though.

Only real solution is to slip the clutch more.
