Hi Folks,

My friend in work was telling me that he was in the west end of Glasgow the other day, there where two big sports bikes in front of him and a guy in another sports bike shot past him and the bikers going extreamly fast. He said without a blink these two sports bike shot out after this guy with blue lights and sirens flashing from under there seats and lights.

He assured me that these where sports bikes in sports colours and the guys had sports leathers on. The only noticable thing was they where wearing white helmets.

Is this a new thing or have I just been blind to this?

nope they been doing it for a while. Look out for sports bikes at bike meets who zoom off as soon as someone does a wheelie!

I beleive there is an un-marked SP2 roaming around north wales and a mate of mine was talking to a cop on a VFR here in shropshire

I think your right mate...Think i'm in the wrong job too.

I actually was going to join central scotland police but got to my last interview and they told me to go and get some life expereance and then re-apply got some life expereance. Got some life expereance now but enjoy smokin now and then and I cant see me being a stoner copper. Saying that I think some of the cops up this way are on the wacky backy most of the time.

I'm actually thinking of getting into bodyguarding. Theres a course in hereford but it cost a fortune.

I thought police officers had to undergo random drugs tests?

I had a friend who got sacked from working as a cleaner on buses for failing a piss test on cannabis! Completely stupid, but true. I'd be amazed if the police didn't have tests.

Police don't but bus cleaners do? Weird!

bu5t4: Cannabis is almost insoluble in water but is soluble in fat. This means it hangs about in your body for ages after it's ceased to have any effect. The test can supposedly pick it up 28 days after you smoke it. (Heroin OTOH is only detectable for 3 days, so the introduction of random drugs tests in prisons has resulted in prisoners choosing heroin as they are less likely to be picked up )

Salisbury police have a sports bike with checker plate flourescent squares on the side - unnoticable from the front or back. Its a VFR/CBR type shape, dark green in colour.

One of the guys I used to race with was a BIB working on a surveillance team of some sort for the Met, he had a ZX9R with all sorts of toys and things hidden about it, he laughed and joked about the fact that the bike wouldn't show up if a traffic car did a PNC or would show up as an "ignore it" type response, one of the best blasts I've had was when I brought it home from Lydden for him after he got pissed up a little too much at the post race celebrations, in his drunken stuper he said "just go carefull and try not to draw attention to yourself" I took that to mean that 160 on the M20 was perfectly acceptable

I can't help but think that the Police have far too much money in the pot for catching speeders, and not enough to catch real crims. Soooo sad.

Anyone remember "Road rash 3d" on PS1 ? well that's what happens to people tackling the road crew...

Sadly, you dont hear about all the good work thats going on catching 'real' crims etc. All everyone seems to read/hear about are Speeders and ways of catching them.

If you had a chance to speak to the people on the ground floor and not listen to the stuff being bantered around the offices then you/we all might just find out exactly what is going on in the real world.

Hope that this all makes sense.
