lol.
But
this is the only reason i am asking the question....
but i doubt very much that most the peeps here are coppers or law abiding citizens, and more likely peeps here would give me a pat on the back and say "well Done m8"!
well while im here...
ny idea if the "magic spray" to make my number plate bright and shiny still exists? if so WHERE ??

Sorry to disappoint you but I think you will find that the only transgression which is widely condoned on here is exceeding the speed limit
(and destroying scameras
)
Riding a 250 on a provisional would inevitably mean riding without insurance which is something a lot of PHers have a *very* big down on! Especially with three crashed bikes in your profile!
Moreover the BiB are not stupid and they *will* notice it in a "pull"... cue throwing of book. It really isn't worth the hassle. Just do your bike test - it's not that hard, nor is it that expensive compared to the cost of a bike and all the correct gear especially if you shop around. The 3-day crash courses aren't the only game in town; there are people who do training at weekends only, one day a week sort of thing, and they are cheaper. It's worth it if only for not having to shit yourself every time you see a plodmobile, and a good instructor will teach you road skills beyond the bare minimum required to pass the test.

Then you have the wrong impression of the members of this forum. I would say the majority of peeps here are law-abiding _and_ there are a fair few members (who read and post regularily here) that are BiB.
Pigeon is correct , just do the test, it's just not worth the hassle and risk to not do it and go down the path you have suggested.
Well it's changed a bit since my day then, took my license when I was 17, then straight out onto an RG500
(I may or may not have been riding round on the RG500 6 months before the test, but I put that down to being a bit of a wayward lad back then
Anyway , having to ride a machine with not much power is a very good way to learn all the skills you'll need later (that are not easy to learn on a more powerful machine) like cornering.
PS How much is a 9-bar these days

oh and as for "Just" doing my liscence , im only 19 and so still have to wait 2 years before i can legally jump on a machine over 33bhp.
but mayb thats just done by buying a 250 restricted and then derestricting it....
(or is that a big NO too?)
I would say, Get your test, get an RGV250 wait 2 years get something else and please, please, please try not to kill yourself
RGV250s are pretty quick, even in 33bhp guise - a mate of mine had two. Sadly he didnt restrict the second one (he was 19 too) so when some daft bint knocked him off, he got done for no license/insurance etc.
Get a 33bhp RGV250 or similar as mentioned - DON'T go down the blatantly illegal route!

woohooo maaged to instal new yoke
for a 9-bar hmm about 265-300 depending on your contacts .
oh btw my AR125 is full power /micron exhaust...
so does this mean if i gotta claim ill get done too?
still not sure on the liscense tho.. im temtped to get a cagivo 125 (lucky strike one) as they do up to 120mph, and stick with that for 2years.
cheerz.

Why are you trying to fit a 250 engine into a 125 frame?
If you're 19, go and do your full test (if you haven't already) and then buy something like a Fazer 600 or a Hornet 600 and have it restricted. It'll be a damn sight better than a shitty 125 framed 250.
And you won't be thought of as a tit on the forum!

They'll do 100mph, thats it! My cousin has a tuned 32bhp one and it just cracks the ton.
They are very peaky with no power below 10k rpm, not an ideal bike to learn on, a real pain in an around town, plus you will be revving the bollocks off it constantly which doesn't bode well for engine life

a larger bike, bandit etc. that's restricted will be so much nicer to ride than a 125.
Also you'll be more noticable (don't know why) and other twat car users will be less likely to cut you up and pull out on you. I really couldn'r beleive the difference when I went from a 125 to a 500 with regards to other road users attitudes.
