Not the accepted thinking in the UK, but why?

I only know one gay biker - he rides a Gixxer 1000

I make no apologies for riding a Kwacka VN800 Drifter - but I'm getting a little tired of some people calling it 'gay'! If it was covered in studded leather crap and tassles, then I could possibly see why.

It does exactly what it say's on the tin, and Bike magazine even called it "one of the most charming bikes they'd ever had the pleasure to ride".

It takes genuine skill, braun, and ingenuity to make decent progress on one of these bikes - unlike most Sportsbikes that are designed for 7 stone 5ft Japanese riders to hoon about on.

Yet if you're a middle-aged, overwieght Sportsbike owner, it's socially acceptable to wear faggoty coloured race leathers, ride around with your bum in the air, and hang out at roundabouts admiring each others knee-sliders - how gay is that?!

If I read another magazine article on 'how to get your knee down in a day' I'll go mad!

Just some food for thought?

I do like Sportsbikes - I'll probably buy one next - though I have no intentions of ever getting rid of the VN.

Their is nothing at all wrong with cruisers if you like them enjoy them and don't worry what people think.I'm not that keen on some like the VTX1800 honda and big harleys,i just don;t like all the chrome and stuff. The feet right forward seating position is the main reason i'm not keen seems so over the top.Cruisers like the harley 883 (special edition one with orange paint and blacked out engine)and the Triumph boniville thruxton are nice

(corrected for spelling and grammer!)

I agree. No bikers are 'gay' cos of what they ride. If you think you are a man, you are welcome to try my 156hp (at rear wheel) R1 on a track sometime. We'll soon see who the pussy is. Choppers are cool, customs are cool, classics are cool. The only thing I PERSONALLY don't like are cruisers. Perhaps it's the name.....

Hmmnnn the only one I know rides a CBR600rr (NOT MY HUSBAND BTW!) The campest riding clobber has got to be the Village People style chaps over jeans.... usually spotted on Harley riders.

So if sportsbikers are Gay - what am I? a Lesbian, Transexual, Blokey Bird?

If you have anything to do with 'cruising' down Brighton way, then that will usually result in some 'bum fun' for someone.... Not in a proctology sort of way I've been told....

Is that that nice Richard Hammond off the telly? He's ever so nice.

I've got a Gixxer thou and a Valkyrie. Am I double gay, or do they cancel out and make me a mean babe magnet?

Dunno. How do you know if you are a whoopsie? I like Ferraris. Is this a sign?

P'Gixxer,

Saw your list of toys in your profile. Can I have a go on your 38DD's?
