Yeah, he was. I think there was a lad called Pete that worked there ( might have mis-remembered his name ), he had a GPX 600 with a GPX 750 engine.
Is that the lad who did the first 900 motor in a ZXR 750, it was in Performance Bikes, sadly he was killed a short while later around Hartside way.Biker's Nemesis said:

Oh, I didn't know about any of that. My friends were dropping like flies for a while. I had a mate called Ian Hull ( Hully ) from Dunston, he had an RD500 and crashed it. He died after several weeks in hospital.Heaveho said:

Was it Marlborough coloured one?
I never actually got to see the bike. I was on the Boat one Saturday night, and some of his other friends saw me and came across, saying " have you heard about Hully ". I never saw him again.I might be wrong, but somethimg makes me think the Marlboro one was the other one I mentioned earlier that was crashed, owned by Smeg. Could have all of that totally arse about face though.

I saw the Marlboro one at a breakers in Seaton Deleval and would have bought it but it was a total mess.Biker's Nemesis said:
Weren't we all, The Tuxedo Princess?
Aye, outside of bikes I had some of my best times on there. For a little while I worked at Manhattans in the bar downstairs, the nightclub joined to the Tuxedo Junction. I had the black Powervalve when I was doing that.I reckon if you saw the Marlboro one at Seaton, it would have been Smegs, he lived off theCoast Rd somewhere, although I had it in my head he'd kept it after the accident.

I must have bumped into you at some point, did you ever get to Madison's Upstairs?I've sent you an e mail through here, I am mindful that this is an open Forum so I'm not keen on totally opening up.

What kind of witchcraft is going on with the number plate etc? It appears to be hovering in place and completely unattached to anything? ![confused](/inc/images/confused.gif)

It's on a bracket attached to the swingarm on the other side ![confused](/inc/images/confused.gif)
