Had a chat with the (lady) owner of this today. Not my usual style of bike but it really caught my eye, I thought it was very nicely done.

I’d ridden that model of Scout before (but standard), and it was certainly a nice bike. But rode the ‘new’ Scout last week, and just after riding the FTR I wasn’t expecting much, but it was waaaay better than I expected, to the extent I was thinking why bother with the FTR as the Scout is pretty much as nippy. Lots of low-down grunt as you’d expect from a 1250 V-twin, but revs through to 9K and the power just keeps coming.

Very nice, but not on my wish list. On the other hand, the Pursuit blew me away. Obviously it’s a heavyweight tourer, but oh-so-nippy and chuckabke. If it wasn’t for the eye-watering price I’d have one in an instant.

Very rose tinted glasses, that is bloody gorgeous; I do however, like small displacement motor vehicles.

Do it. I'd change the seat and bars though.

Have you ever ridden an old Guzzi? Much like old Harleys, or old Brits, they are not for everyone. Even after years of riding Sportsters and FXRs, I found my 1100 Cali' to be primitive, and it was gone in a week or so...
All that said, definitely a nice looking bike.

I'm definitely not an expert on things of this style or vintage but the rear shocks don't look very ohlins to me!

It was a bit wet and muddy, but still managed to get out for an hour after dinner.

A local dealer had a BSA and AJS open day event so we went along. I took my BSA, my brother his AJS smile

Quite a few bikes there. The new AJS’ are cool little things.

Then home and had my first ride round the block on my new Norton. It’s a fierce thing!

Nearly snap, but I have an AJS and my brother a BSA smile

Photo from 2019 but not much has changed and that shot could have been taken today (or 50-odd years ago but the lighthouse would be about 100 yards further away then).

I think it’s coming from the spark plug weep hole on the front bank of cylinders?

I’ll give it a good clean when I get back home tomorrow and keep an eye on it.

Crikey. That's a good milage, has the engine had a rebuild?

This is the total milage since I finished the rebuild on mine in March 2011.

Sitting (YES, I did spell that right) on the toilet when a few minutes ago a friend sends this.

I had to do a double take.
